CHAMPIONS Celtic created history by beating Dundee United 1-0 at Tannadice on Thursday night to secure a third successive SPL title.

Gordon Strachan's men beat United through Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink's winner to finish three points ahead of Rangers. The Ibrox club lost 2-0 to Aberdeen on Thursday.

CELTIC legend Henrik Larsson returns to Paradise after a three-year absence today and admits he could never have passed up the chance to pay tribute to Phil O’Donnell.

The Hoops’ title-winning side from 1998, including the Swede, take on Motherwell’s triumphant Scottish Cup team from 1991 on Sunday afternoon in a special tribute match for Phil, which kicked off at 2pm.
